GGS, 474, M.2 Credits: AdobeStock</image:caption>

<image:title>Sikhi Blog - Haltung machen Leute, nicht Kleider: Sikh wird Ratsvorsitzender - Make it stand out</image:title>
Credits: Pexels</image:caption>

<image:title>Sikhi Blog - Ethics in Sikhi - Mach es besonders</image:title>
<image:caption>Drawing on the wisdom of Sikhi, Khushwant Singh reflects on the conditions of universal ethics. First, one needs to acknowledge that there is a painful imbalance between worldly and inner progress. Worldly ethics emerges primarily under external pressure to act. In contrast, intuitive spiritual ethics is not dependent on circumstances and hence timeless. Here, virtues and wisdom flow naturally from within. There is neither a longing for worldly comforts and social recognition nor missionary zeal or an expectation of salvation in the hereafter. Intuitive ethics is born when the silent voice of the soul is truly heard. This spiritual rootedness not only inspires righteousness but also enables transcendence beyond the material world. It ensures that deeply harmful short-sighted perspectives are avoided and attitudes are strengthened that keep the long-term well-being of all living beings in view. As humble guests on Mother Earth, those who bring the art of intuitive ethics to life recognize the profound interconnectedness of existential fraternity and the divinity of life in all its abundance. <image:caption>People from diverse traditions and backgrounds came together in Cologne for an evening dedicated to the connection between religion and environmental protection. Drawing on insights from Sikhi, it became clear: environmental protection begins in the heart. Those who perceive the universe as sacred act mindfully – everywhere, not only in places of worship. Sustainability arises through awareness, personal responsibility, and love for humanity, animals, and nature. Each of us can embody change – regardless of politics or trends. <image:title>Sikhi Blog - Religious Freedom in Uniform: Strengthening Minority Participation in State Services – The Case of Sikhs in the German Armed Forces - Mach es besonders</image:title>
<image:caption>This article explores how the participation of minorities such as Sikhs in public service can be strengthened. Using the example of the new military defense service in the German Bundeswehr, it highlights the principles of religious freedom, international practice, and legal foundations, with a focus on the turban (Dastar) and the sword of wisdom (Kirpan). The Dastar adorns the uncut hair of Sikhs. It expresses naturalness, humility, devotion, loyalty and a virtuous life. Sikhs wrap it anew every day and wear it with dignity - also at work. The picture shows a Sikh serving in the American army. In the USA, Canada, Great Britain and India, Sikhs, along with their turban and the sword of wisdom, the kirpan, are a natural part of the civil service. There they work in schools, courts, the police and the armed forces. Credits: Unsplash</image:caption>

A spirit of warmth, humour, and joy was felt throughout all activities. The camp began and ended with a symbolic Eternal Circle: everything in life is interconnected. Together, we can shape our lives with more simplicity and delight. And once we realise that we are part of a greater whole, we naturally begin to relate to each other with love and respect.
